About Non-acidic Calcium Ascorbate - In its Ascorbic Acid form, Vitamin C is quite acidic and may therefore be irritating to individuals with sensitive stomachs. The combination of Ascorbic Acid with a mineral such as Calcium results in Calcium Ascorbate; which is a neutral form of Vitamin C that is gentle on the stomach and is very well tolerated by most individuals.
