Milk thistle and Globe Artichoke have been included to protect and support healthy liver function and help relieve minor digestive disturbances. Milk Thistle (also known as St Mary’s Thistle and Blessed Thistle) has a long history of use as a traditional remedy for liver & gallbladder health. Milk Thistle assists the liver with detoxification processes and supports the regeneration of liver cells.

Globe Artichoke helps stimulate bile flow and is traditionally used for the treatment of mild dyspepsia and indigestion. Globe Artichoke has also been shown to decrease blood fats and cholesterol and protect the liver from toxic damage.

Blooms Liver Detox 1-a-day includes Taurine, Turmeric and BioP to ensure a highly effective detox formula. Taurine helps with the conjugation of bile acids and cell membrane stabilisation, whilst turmeric aids digestion and protects the body from further free radical damage. BioP (Black Pepper) was included to maximise absorption and metabolism of all these ingredients, particularly Turmeric which can be hard to absorb on its own.
